REGA EBLT Reference Belt

Replacing the belt on your Rega Planar turntable can make a significant difference in terms of accurate speed, reliable stability, and overall sonic performance. The premium, custom-made Rega Reference EBLT drive belt is now fitted as standard on all Planar 8 and Planar 10 turntable models, as of March 8, 2021.

The Reference EBLT is the most accurate drive belt Rega has ever produced and is suitable for all Rega turntables. It is particularly highly recommended for the Planar 6 and any Planar 3 using the Rega Neo PSU turntable power supply unit.

The Reference EBLT drive belt, like the Advanced EBLT drive belt (also available from Music Direct), works on all Rega turntables, except the original Rega Planet turntable. Each belt is molded on Rega's ultra-accurate custom tooling equipment, using a unique secret blend. Once molded, the belts are cryogenically frozen and barreled to remove any excess flash, creating perfect cross-sectional roundness, which is critical for accurate speed and stability.

Under normal use and conditions, the lifespan of an EBLT drive belt is 50% longer than that of the previous model. The Reference EBLT drive belt is the culmination of many years of R&D and advanced tooling trials. All Reference belts go through a proprietary curing process that guarantees the highest achievable level of accuracy.

Scientific performance measurements reveal a significant reduction in weighted peak "wow and flutter" compared to the standard belt, thanks to the increased accuracy of the design and cross-sectional roundness of the EBLT belt. The standard belt measures 0.253%, while the custom-made premium Reference EBLT drive belt offers superior performance.
